Why Was 'Inside Out' a Success?

Inside Out is an animated Comedy-Drama released in 2015, Created by Disney-Pixar. It reached critical and commercial success with a 98% approval rating by Rotten Tomatoes, and earned $356,461,711 domestically and $857,611,174 worldwide. Everyone was talking about the film for a long time. Personally I've seen it 4 times in theaters and I loved it. The question I'm asking today, is why was Inside Out a success. Well Let's start back when the second trailer came out. People were not very fond of this trailer, it felt like another mediocre Pixar movie, especially after Brave and Monsters U. Then when it was shown at Cannes Film Festival, everyone loved it. It got a 100% rotten tomatoesscore, and everyone was excited for this movie. When it came out everyone loved the movie. The people who saw it with there kids went on Twitter and they told their friends, and those friend told their friends, and soon everyone saw this movie. Inside Out made $90,440,272 in America alone on it's opening weekend, And that leads us onto our next question, Did Twitter Help With It's Success?
Twitter is a social media site founded on March 21, 2006. Whenever a big event occurs, people are fast to react on twitter. The Twitter Effect is a term for when a movie becomes a success due to an endless cycle of people tweeting to other people to go see the film. This can also be called Word of Mouth. Inside Out got the Twitter effect too. It had everyone talking about it. Word spread like wildfire and everyone saw it. The film became a commercial success and most of that was because of Twitter.
The film garnered critical success for it's smart writing, it's brilliant voice acting, and it's likable and interesting characters. So basically it became a success for being a great movie. Most successful movies tend to be good movies now. It's a phase that has been around since Twitter became popular. Before Twitter people used to complain about every blockbuster being pandering garbage, but now things have turned around. Movies that are terrible never seem to get much attention, but movies that are great end up getting a lot of attention.
